Data protection

HEITEC AG believes that it is very important to protect your personal data. For that reason, it processes personal data in compliance with the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other requirements of law. Until the effective date of the GDPR on May 25, 2018, references to the GDPR should be understood as references to the corresponding provisions of the German Data Protection Law. The following references in our data privacy policy are intended to inform you fully about how we handle your personal data, as well as about your rights in this regard.

Processing of personal data

HEITEC AG records personal data such as your name, address, or e-mail address only if you register for our Newsletter or submit an application via e-mail. We will use the information you voluntarily furnish in this regard solely for the purpose you provided it.

Processing of usage data

When you visit and view provided content, HEITEC AG’s web servers store each access in a log file for statistical and system-related purposes. The log contains the following information:

• IP address, time stamp (date and time of access) of the requesting
• computer/web pages visited/filenames
• Requesting computer’s web browser and operating system
• Volume of data transferred, and report of successful transfer

These data are stored for security reasons: for example, to prevent attempts to attack HEITEC AG’s web servers. The stored IP address is analyzed only in the event of an attack on HEITEC AG’s systems (GDPR Art. 6 [1] [f]). No natural person will be associated with the stored usage data. The recorded data is stored for a period of one year. It is then deleted by the system.

Signing up for our Newsletter

HEITEC AG offers you the option to sign up to receive a newsletter. HEITEC AG will use the information you provide in this regard solely for this purpose (GDPR Art. 6 [1] [a]). HEITEC AG does not process any additional data. If you wish to sign up for our Newsletter, HEITEC AG will need a valid e-mail address, your first and last name, and the name of your company.

HEITEC AG uses the “double opt-in” procedure to ensure that you are in fact the owner of the e-mail address you provide. To this end, a record is made of:

• Your consent to receive Newsletters
• Sending a confirmation e-mail
• Receipt of your reply e-mail

You may at any time withdraw your consent for us to process your personal data and use it for sending the Newsletter. To do so, you can unsubscribe from the Newsletter using HEITEC AG’s website by entering your e-mail address.

Job application via e-mail

HEITEC AG offers job applicants the option of applying for posted positions or submitting unsolicited applications online via the contact form on the website’s career page or by e-mail. . If you make use of this option, HEITEC AG will process the information you provide that is needed in order to choose applicants (German Data Protection Law [Revised] Sec. 26 [1]).

HEITEC AG’s website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your computer and stored by your browser. Use of Google Fonts

Use of YouTube plugins

Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site owned by Google. The site’s operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit one of our pages that has a YouTube plugin, a connection will be made to YouTube’s servers. The YouTube server will receive information about the pages you visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, that will permit YouTube to associate your surfing behavior directly with your personal profile. Deleting personal data

In accordance with the principles of data minimization (GDPR Art. 5 [1] [c]) and data economy (GDPR Art. 5 [1] [e]), HEITEC AG stores only the personal data needed for one of the specified purposes.
