Latest automation technology for Duscholux production plants

CHALLENGE

Duscholux is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sanitary installations.
As a longtime partner for the automation of production plants, HEITEC updated the control technology.
The goal was to further increase plant availability and production safety.

IMPLEMENTATION

To prevent unplanned risks during the modernization, all upgrades were first tested on a digital model.
Simulations and tests were performed in real time using HeiVM4.0 (HEITEC Virtual Machine). HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) and SIL (software-in-the-loop) are technologies for ensuring functional software without having to use the plant for testing purposes, thus minimizing risk, reducing commissioning times, and permitting a more highly qualified retrofit.
