HEITEC Auerbach delivered the first HEIkey proline EA 20MP key processing machine to its new customer, EVVA Wien, in September.
For almost thirty years, many manufacturers of key and lock systems have been benefiting from the reliability and expertise of our colleagues in the Vogtland region of Saxony, Germany. This year, after several systems were commissioned for existing customers, a special system was built for a new customer, EVVA, at their location in Vienna, Austria.
What’s different about this line: In addition to systems construction, HEITEC also assisted with the development of a new key family and took total charge of tool development. This meant that instead of requiring approximately 300 profile tools for one key family, the customer needed only 20 tools for all profile processing. At full capacity, the system can operate two shifts unattended and produce up to 4,000 keys per day. As part of the project, a new HMI was also developed that can be used with both Siemens and Beckhoff controllers.
