Automation for milling centres
In the manufacturing industry, factors such as process stability, consistent quality, high technical availability and high autonomy are becoming increasingly important for competitiveness. HEITEC is setting new standards for Lindner Recyclingtech GmbH's production with a customised automation cell developed in-house. HEITEC's expertise and the cooperative collaboration with our customer lead to intelligent automation with innovation and creativity and also ensure competitive advantages in the future.
Brief technical description
- High overall system availability of 97%
- Up to 72 hours unmanned operation of the entire system
- Maximum load capacity of 360kg
- Precise depalletising technology with intermediate layer handling for extremely simple blank feeding
- Flexible gripper systems for maximum product variance with minimum set-up effort
- Simple integration of new workpieces
Realisation
Our customer uses this system to process forged parts and flame-cut parts fully automatically into components for its own systems and is therefore able to maintain the profitability of its high vertical range of manufacture. The development focus was primarily on process and quality stability, user-friendly operation and the simplest possible integration options for new future workpieces.
In the first stage, the automation system was delivered with two milling centres, but all components were already designed for an expansion to three milling centres. The automation cell and milling centres were connected, tested and commissioned together at the HEITEC site in order to guarantee an optimum result for the customer, a short commissioning phase and a smooth process on site.
Following the successful implementation of the new production processes and operation of the entire system, the automation cell has now been expanded to include the third milling machine.
