Test system "Gas turbine blades"
In co-operation with Siemens Energy, HEITEC builds automated inspection systems for gas turbine blades. The modular inspection system is used for the inspection and three-dimensional measurement of gas turbine blades. Depending on the inspection task, different thermographic and optical methods as well as a 3D measuring method are used.Realisation
The inspection system consists of a light-tight housing with an integrated signal light, an operating terminal mounted on the housing, a rotating and swivelling unit with corresponding devices for holding the various turbine blades and other components for the optionally integrated inspection methods.
The core of the automated system for inspecting gas turbine blades, which combines a range of thermographic measurement methods, is a compact thermography module consisting of a high-resolution infrared camera and a flash. This module is mounted on two traversing axes that can automatically move to several measuring positions and, together with a rotary tilting table for loading, allows a high throughput in three-shift operation: the minimum measuring time is 40 seconds per blade at five positions.
The system is controlled by specially developed software that automates all work steps, from component control to the visualisation of results. Data acquisition and processing, image processing and data storage are carried out on a scalable network of industrial PCs.
Customer benefits
