Development and production of robot-assisted systems HeiReprocessing BPL

Gasitech Industrie-Gas-Handelsgesellschaft is one of the most efficient companies in the field of recurring testing, industrial processing and filling of gas cylinders in Europe. A new processing plant for gas cylinders was to increase capacity, improve quality and make working conditions easier for employees.

Realisation

HEITEC developed and manufactured two robot-supported systems for Gasitech, each with ten stations for the fully automatic processing of used gas cylinders, which are unique in their technical design. The cylinders are fed in via an input/output carousel with a capacity of 16 cylinders. After determining the height, diameter and contour, the old valves are unscrewed fully automatically. The bottles are then mechanically brushed in three paint stripping stations with a suction device and prepared for the painting process. The valve threads are also recut and the bottles are weighed. Laser triangulation is used to capture old labelling and make it unrecognisable using needle embossers, and the bottles are relabelled before they are prepared for further processing by robots on the input/output carousel. A six-axis robot with a load capacity of 280 kg handles the entire process.
