On 11 June 2026, the HEITEC and EPLAN Technology Day in Ardagger-Stift focused entirely on digitalisation and automation. The central question was: How do we remain competitive in the international marketplace?
Numerous customers, partners and suppliers were in attendance. Our CEO, Michael Frieß, opened the event with an inspiring keynote speech, emphasising the importance of openness to new technologies, digitalisation and collaborative partnerships. Mr Priesner, Managing Director of VDMA Austria, shed light on current developments in plant and special-purpose machinery manufacturing in Austria and Germany, presented the latest industry data and offered an outlook on the future. His conclusion: more efficient processes, better data availability and new business models – digitalisation is the driving force behind sustainable success.
The morning featured a series of specialist presentations highlighting the need for end-to-end digitalisation, for example in e-design. Experts presented the latest developments in the fields of automation, digitalisation and engineering.
The Technology Day – and the refreshment breaks in particular – provided an ideal platform for exchanging ideas with colleagues, partners and customers. Many took the opportunity to make new contacts and maintain existing networks.
In the early afternoon, participants toured HEITEC’s assembly hall in small groups to view current projects and solutions. Technical experts were on hand to answer questions and provide practical insights. After the tour, all participants were able to enjoy refreshments from the buffet in the canteen and gather in the reception area for further discussions.
Technology Day 2026 was a resounding success. HEITEC would like to extend its warmest thanks to all participants for their commitment – we are already looking forward to seeing you again in two years’ time!
