Working closely together, the initiative has developed a pragmatic "recipe" that is tailored to the specific needs of SMEs. Instead of relying on expensive software solutions, the concept enables quick and unbureaucratic implementation with on-board resources. The centrepiece is a tried-and-tested maturity model that provides companies with a clear roadmap for calculating the PCF in compliance with standards.
This approach was not developed in secret, but directly from practice for practice. As part of the NLM initiative, the companies involved in the project have pooled their experience and best practices. The result is a method that allows companies to calculate reliable PCFs with little effort, identify reduction potential and secure a clear competitive advantage as a "green supplier".
