HEITEC is expanding its product portfolio for 19-inch cooling solutions in summer 2025 with a new 1 U fan subassembly, addressing a problem that is still one of the biggest challenges in electronics: Effective thermal management in a compact design. In addition to the existing HeiCool ECO fan subassembly, the company is now presenting HeiCool Lite, another powerful solution that impresses with its attractive price-performance ratio. The new development is available in two versions - 230 VAC and 24 VDC - and features three powerful 120 mm axial fans with long-life ball bearings, which reliably ensure continuous operation.
With its compact standard height of 1 U and a width of 84 HP, the fan line can be integrated perfectly into various 19-inch subracks and HEITEC system housings. The HeiCool Lite proves to be an all-rounder for a wide range of design options: It is suitable for all standard applications as well as customised configurations. Installation is quick and uncomplicated. It can be easily inserted into any 19-inch housing using standard card guides from the HEITEC product range.
Operation is also extremely simple - the fan subassembly can be switched on and off in a single movement using toggle switches in the front panel. As an additional safety feature for users, finger guards have been fitted over the fans.
The 1.5 millimetre thick aluminium support plate of the HeiCool Lite ensures stability, while the colourless surface finish provides effective corrosion protection. It fulfils protection class IP20, is tested in accordance with EN 60950 and EN 50155 and is therefore also suitable for railway applications.
